Calendars of documents are descriptive lists documents arranged in chronological order. The Jacob Leisler Papers consists of about 4,000 documents from 1558 to 1800 relating to Leisler and his family. These documents are further broken into eight subsets. The calendars are an inventory of these folders, serving as a finding aid to their respective locations. Each calendar entry contains information pertaining to the document, including type, language, repository (location of the original document), and a control number. As scholars and researchers continue to find new materials, the Jacob Leisler Institute revises the calendars.
